1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, including your name, email address, college, branch, graduation year, and student ID for verification. We also collect usage data such as posts, interactions, and activity on the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Quad platform; to personalize your feed and recommendations; to verify your student status; to send notifications about activity on your account; and to provide customer support.

3. Student Verification

Your college ID is used solely for verification purposes. We store only the verification status, not the ID image itself, after verification is complete. The ID image is deleted within 30 days of submission.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with: service providers who assist us in operating the platform (cloud infrastructure, analytics); your college administration for verification purposes; and as required by law. Brand partners see only aggregate, anonymized analytics.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request a copy of your data or ask us to restrict processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@quad.app.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Access tokens are short-lived (15 minutes) and refresh tokens are rotated on each use.
